WESTERN FINALS

Momentum Movement Academy / April 13-14

That’s right! We’re so excited to be hosting the CNL Western Finals this weekend at our facility.

Athletes who qualified at a CNL Stage 2 competition this season will be put to the test with 2 challenging courses. (Speed & Strength).

Top 5 from the Western Finals will advance and qualify for the 2024 Canadian Championships, being held May 31-June 2 in Sudbury, ON

Athlete Registration:

Athletes who qualify from a CNL Stage 2 will receive an email from CNL with the registration links. Registration will close on Tuesday, April 9th. If a qualified athlete is unable to make it to Western Finals, CNL will contact and qualify the next qualified athlete.

Qualify for the 2024 Canadian Championships

Top 5 from the Western Finals will advance and qualify for the 2024 Canadian Championships, being held May 31-June 2 in Sudbury, ON

Spectator Tickets:

Spectator tickets: $10 for the weekend.

Purchase at the door (cash or credit card).

Registered athletes will get one free spectator pass included in their registration fee.

Athletes don’t need to purchase a spectator pass - will get their own wristband at check-in.


Rules & Format

  • This competition will follow standard Canadian Ninja League Rules

    • Score is determined by Points and Time. The athlete with the most points and the least time wins

    • Every obstacle is worth 1pt

    • Athletes time stops when they finish the course, fail the last obstacle, or time-out. If an athlete times-out your time as of your last failed or completed obstacle

    • Athletes are allowed 1 retry anywhere on the course. The retry must be used immediately after failing an obstacle and athletes cannot go back to retry a previous obstacle.

    • Full clears are awarded a bonus point for not using the Retry

  • Multi-Course competition

    • Speed Course: Short time (1min-2min) limit with 14-18 obstacles

    • Strength Course: Long time (3min-4min) limit with 10-12 obstacles

    • Athletes will run both courses in one day and adequate rest will be given between runs

  • Athletes final score will be combined using CNL’s Percent Based Scoring System

    • The Speed Course will affect athletes overall time percentage more than the strength course

    • The Strength Course will affect athletes overall points percentage more than the speed course
